Author and TV/Filmmaker JUDE SCHELL is an acknowledged leader in the sex-positive social movement, recently named by Curve magazine as a “Top 30 Trailblazers who have shaped the way we view and have sex”.


Jude has worked as an art dealer, bartender, blackjack dealer, theater publicist, script reader, writing coverage for film and television scripts for Andrea Eastman and Boaty Boatwright of ICM, Alice Peck of New Amsterdam Films and Caron K of Twentieth Century Fox, and as an executive assistant to notable industry powerhouses including top literary agent Esther Newberg of International Creative Partners, Marie Brenner, author and Editor-at-Large for Vanity Fair, and Melissa Matheson (ET, Kundun) for her book Lenox.


With The Foundry Theatre, Jude co-produced the OBIE Award-winning TALK by Carl Hancock Rux, and the Legacy Series reunion of Jean Genet's The Blacks. It was under the auspices of the legendary, Oscar-winning Merchant Ivory Productions, renowned for their lush period pieces, that Jude learned the business and the craft of filmmaking, working on productions including Surviving Picasso, Feast of July, Jefferson in Paris,The Proprietor, In Custody, and the restoration and re-release of The Masterworks of Satyajit Ray. Jude also worked with Christine Vachon and Pam Koffler on the Killer Films production of Office Killer, the directorial debut of photographer Cindy Sherman.
